One of our member benefits is the free online photoshop and photo editing tuition.
These informal training sessions are held on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00pm via zoom.
They are intended to help our members who are new to, or simply interested in, editing photographs. We demonstrate and discuss the array of tools and various techniques to get the most out of your images.
We have found that this method of learning has a unique and personal approach that YouTube and listening to a talk by a guest speaker cannot offer.
The lessons are thought out to demonstrate the tools and methods in their simplest form, which are easy to understand and follow. It’s advantage over YouTube is that members are encouraged to ask questions at any time if they do not follow what is being done, or do not understand a particular process etc. Most talks are done with completed images, so the process involved is not shown. You can of course enrol into night school but this comes at a cost. Our lessons are FREE to our members.
In addition to the group sessions on the third Thursday of every month, some of our advanced members i.e. John Moxham LRPS CPAGB and Jason Merrin LRPS, have volunteered to offer tuition on a one to one basis if members would prefer that. This is also offered free of charge.
John’s preferred workflow is Adobe Lightroom > Photoshop, whereas Jason’s preferred workflow is Adobe Bridge > Adobe Camera Raw > Photoshop.
