Generous Donation Gratefully Received.
A chance meeting between our club treasurer Andy McLaughlin and a fellow photographer, Bob Jump, resulted in Bob kindly donating some of his camera equipment to the club. The equipment includes a Nikon D300 with various lenses, a Bronica Medium Format film camera with lenses, and a selection of lighting and backdrops.
All items are listed and available to our members to loan or use on our practical evenings.
We can’t thank Bob enough for his generosity and roll in promoting the art of photography, but we have made Bob a lifelong honorary member, and though his is too far away to visit the club regularly, we certainly intend to include Bob on as many trips and events as we can.
Thank you Bob, from all the members of Ribble Valley Photographic Society.

RVPS Club Member, Jason Merrin, attended a seminar and assessment day with the Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union a few weeks ago, to be considered as a photography judge for the L&CPU. Today he has been officially invited to become a new L&CPU Judge, which means he will be attending various camera clubs throughout the North West to judge club competitions.
More importantly for Ribble Valley PS, it means that members who would like a second opinion on their images will be able to seek critique and mentorship from Jason if required, either one to one or as part of a group session. This will be free of charge to fellow RVPS members.
